Whitwell Action Group Prize Draw

At the Whitwell Gala on Saturday 5th July, look out for people wearing WAG Promotions T-Shirts. They will be handing out flyers for the Whitwell Action Group which could lead you to winning all sorts of prizes.
If you collect one of these flyers and attend the next meeting on Wednesday 3rd September, you will enter a prize draw with prizes including wine and chocolate.
The Whitwell Action Group (W.A.G.) is a completely non political forum formed purely for the benefit of the whole Whitwell Community.
As a recognised Forum, we are now able to apply for additional funding towards further enhancements to our village. We are therefore very keen to invite ideas from locals on how funds could be well spent and what changes and additional facilities you would like to see in Whitwell.
WAG Promotions

WAG Promotions is a sub group of the Whitwell Action Group that are aiming to provide entertainment for the village through Music, film, theatre and comedy.
With a wide range of events happening on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, there will be something on to suit all tastes.

Do You Want To Do More For The Village in 2008?

At the Whitwell Action Group, we always welcome volunteers who want to help improve village life. As a recognised Forum, we are able to apply for funding which can be used to help village groups and facilities.
If you have any ideas or plans to enhance the community spirit in Whitwell, then come along to one of our monthly meetings and we will see what we can do to help. Meetings normally take place on the first Wednesday of each month, although any changes will be published on our website.
The Action Group's AGM will take place in Whitwell Community Centre on Wednesday 6th February, starting at 6pm. Everyone is welcome.

This is the brand new website for the Whitwell Action Group.
Formed at the beginning of 2007, the aim of the group is to enhance village life in Whitwell. As a recognised forum, additional funding can be provided to achieve those ideas.
For this to happen, volunteers are needed. If you would like to help, get in touch by the "Contact Us" page of the website.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Whitwell Community Centre, starting at 7pm.
